Qeeg brainmapping

At Health Within we use the latest state of the art, FDA approved, 24 Channel QEEG machines  for Brain Mapping and training.

QEEG technology has been shown to isolate the areas of the brain that are not operating efficiently and consequently may be involved in symptom presentation. The QEEG assessment is critical to guiding and evaluating the Neurofeedback treatment protocols.

The brain is comprised of multiple neuroanatomical structures each with specific localized function and connected through electrochemical communication signals between neuronal assemblies. QEEG Brain Mapping offers state-of-the-art digital analysis of a 19-point EEG to identify specific regions of the brain marked by abnormality in electrical brain wave functioning. As each person’s brain is unique, the Brain Map offers an individualized neurophysiological assessment that can help design a treatment approach that will maximize treatment gains.

There has been a significant amount of research on the clinical utility of the QEEG in identifying neurophysiological abmormalities. The electrical activity of the brain is analyzed in terms of amplitude, coherence, phase and asymmetry and compared to normative databases. Clinical symptomatology are cross referenced against abnormal EEG activity to determine final treatment recommendations.
